Frederick Reynolds produced razors in Sheffield England during its reign as the cutlery capital of the world. Only in business for a couple of decades, this razor dates to around 1880.

5/8″ Ernst Aug Hollow Ground in Original Bakelite Scales
Not much is known about Ernst Aug.Siepen other than the razor was made in Solingen, Germany the heart of the German cutlery industry to this day. The razor’s grind and profile date it around the 1920’s.
11/16″ ERN Crown & Sword in Original Bakelite Scales
ERN produced some of the finest straight razors known to man. Based out of Wald, a suburb of Solingen, ERN is most famous for the Crown & Sword line of razors. They also produced the Craftsman brand of razors for Sears. This razor dates to around the 1920’s.
6/8″ D. Peres Hollow Ground Round Point in Original Scales
D. Peres was a German cutler who started the company in 1792. He produced fine pen knives in 1805. The company survived or the name continued until at least the early 1900s, when this razor was produced. The Peres company features a signature barrel with a tap. Presumably a beer barrel.
5/8″ Simmons Hardware Co. Bellied Hollow in Original Celluloid Scales
Simmons Hardware Co. was an American cutlery company based in St. Louis Missouri. Best known for their “Keen Kutter” brand, they were in business from 1868-1960. This razor was produced in the very early 1900’s.
Wade & Butcher Restoration in Original Scales
This razor was sent in for restoration. The original horn scales were in good shape so we restored those using oil to revitalize them and then polished them to a high luster.
8/8 Hess Restoration & Custom IPA Wood Scales
This razor was massive! A full one inch and a full hollow grind. An amazing specimen of a razor. It came to us pretty beat up with broken scales so we put it in IPA wood with a CA finish. These are the largest scales we’ve ever made! A truly spectacular specimen of a blade.
Hess is the name of the importing company. The full company name is the Hess Hair Milk Company. The blade was made in Solingen, Germany.
6/8″ Crown Razor Co. “Extra Hollow Ground” in Original Bakelite Scales
I was unable to find any information on the Crown Razor Co. out of Worcester Mass. However, it is probable they were connected to the Torrey Razor Co. or one of several cutlery manufacturers out of that town. It could also be that this was a small shop without a lot of history. Regardless, this is a great looking razor after having been restored.
6/8″ Clauss Hollow Ground in Original Scales Made in USA
This razor is made by Clauss in Fremont, Ohio. Manufacturers of standard issue marine corps razors, Clauss was one of the few American cutlery companies making razors after 1900. This razor dates to around 1919.
5/8″ H. Boker & Co. in Original Faux Tortoise Shell Scales
This razor is a Boker & Co. Model 376 produced between 1924-35. Boker is famous for their knives and straight razors. They have produced some of the most memorable and highly esteemed vintage straight razors sought by collectors and users worldwide.
